Building an alliance of like-minded states interested in drug policy reform will be an important part of ensuring the UN General Assembly Special Session on drugs in 2016 is a meaningful debate – rather than another back-slapping drug war jamboree. Hopefully the next UK government can maintain this positive momentum.
